How green is the product? Is it safe?

The whole water treatment is done with reusable materials.
Independent from fossil fuel or electrical network. Since the energy comes from a PV panel and/or wind turbine daylight will do. For the night hours the battery, which is charged by the unit will give water for another 2 or more hours.
The process emits no greenhouse gasses no generates any environmental degrading waist.
No chemicals are used so the natural taste of the water is preserved.

How is the Living Water Wheel powered?

The Compact and SunRunner are powered by the sun via an integrated solar panel. During the hours of darkness the electricity comes from a heavy duty 12 volt battery in the foot of the unit. This makes the both the Compact and SunRuner completely independent of any fossil fuels, carbon neutral, the electricity grid and generators.

One only has to press the button to start the clean water following. The Living Water Wheel has been developed for use in rural and remote communities and emergency, disaster and humanitarian relief situations with limited technical knowledge and knowhow.

Simple, tested and robust technology and construction is built in to every Living Water Wheel.
All materials as well as the applied technology are based on the intensive use in remote and tropical areas. Can be installed, operated and maintained by people with no technical education or background.
Keep the solar panel clean as it gets dirty the electrical charge ability will degrade. Depending on the suspended matter in your water source you will need to wash out the 5 micron sediment filter. You will know when to do this as you water flow will be reducing.

Solar Panel and/or wind turbine charges up a 12-volt Battery. A small pump pushes polluted or contaminated water source through a 5.0 micron Sediment Filter and then through a Carbon Filter .
This removes Giardia and Cryptosporidium Cysts, Entamoeba and Toxoplasma Cysts, Schistosomiasis, Herbicides, Pesticides, Trihalomethanes (THMs), Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs), Chlorine and Chlorine By-Products, Sediment, Bad Taste, Odors, Color, Smell, and many other Harmful Chemicals and Contaminants.
